Telangana CM KCR meets Arvind Kejriwal, praises mohalla clinics and government schools in Delhi

New delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday and visited the mohalla clinic and government school in the nation’s capital. The two leaders visited a mohalla clinic in Mohammadpur area at Rama Krishna Puram and a government school in southern Moti Bagh.

After visiting the school, Rao said the Delhi government’s efforts in the field of education were commendable. “They have turned students from job seekers to job providers. I commend Delhi’s chief minister for that. We will send our teachers and union leaders here to orient on this,” Rao said. .

In a tweet, the AAP said, “Delhi’s education revolution is showing the way for other state governments.”

Kejriwal said KCR had seen the facilities of Delhi government run schools. “He (KCR) observed and asked about every detail of the school, it’s nice to see his deep interest in education,” he said.

The head of TRS said that the Mohalla clinics and schools are a good job by the AAP. “After Telangana became a state, we searched for good things to incorporate. After getting good feedback from the clinics, we copied them to our state,” he said.

Delhi government mohalla clinics provide basic medical care based on standard treatment protocols which include curative care for common illnesses such as fever, diarrhea, skin problems, respiratory problems, first aid for wounds and burns, dressing and management of minor injuries and referral services.

Earlier this week, the Punjab government announced mohalla clinics on Delhi lines. In the first phase, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said his government would set up 75 clinics across the state.

Earlier today, the Telangana CM met with Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav. The Telangana CMO said the two leaders discussed national issues.
