A health fair offering free and affordable health screenings and resources is coming to Rifle soon, a press release says.

9Health:365, a nonprofit that specializes in health fairs and screenings, is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 9.

“Following the unfortunate but necessary postponement of our health fairs in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to once again offer our spring health fairs to residents of Colorado,” said the 9Health:365 CEO Gary Drews in the release. . “9Health:365 has had a positive impact on the health of Coloradans for more than 40 years, and our community health fairs are instrumental in that ongoing effort.”

Free adult health screenings offered at 9Health:365 Community Health Fairs vary and may include COVID-19 vaccinations, blood pressure and height/weight/BMI checks, lung function, assessment diabetes risks, oral health, hearing, sleep apnea and skin exams, among others, the statement said.

“With rising costs and the impact of inflation on the healthcare sector, these free and affordable health checkups are a vital resource to fill the void for those who lack access to preventative healthcare and those with high deductible insurance plans or no insurance at all,” Drews said in the statement.

Medical professionals will be on hand to offer advice and assistance, helping participants decide which screenings are right for them, the statement said.

For those unable to attend a health fair, 9Health:365 and Quest Diagnostics have partnered to offer the same affordable health screenings at Quest Diagnostics Lab (PSC) patient centers. No doctor visit or insurance is necessary.

Masks are mandatory, the statement said. Appointments will be accepted but dating is encouraged.
